Purpose of the service
Splitsville is a songwriting ownership documentation and contributor confirmation platform. It maintains a historical record of proposed songwriting splits, contributor credits, confirmations, disagreements, revisions, and available server-generated timestamps. It is not a legal-document preparation or legal services platform. It does not separately administer master recording ownership, register songs with PROs, or collect and distribute royalties.
Who operates the service and what these terms cover
MANSA Project Solutions, LLC provides the service under the Splitsville brand. These terms address accounts, song proposals, contributor responses, and related records. The legal contact address is 7901 4th St N STE 300, St. Petersburg, FL 33702, USA. Questions about these terms can be sent to info@getsplitsville.com.
Accounts and eligibility
Provide accurate account details, use an email you control, and protect your sign-in credentials. Do not impersonate another creator or use someone else’s account. Email ownership must be verified before an account can send invitations or claim eligible shared records. Verification does not independently prove creative authorship or legal ownership.
Creating an account is optional for invited contributors. You can review a proposal and explicitly confirm or disagree without registering. If you later register, eligible records are associated using the verified identity and authorization rules; they are not duplicated or assigned based only on a similar name.
Users must have authority under applicable requirements to provide information and take the actions they submit. The intended launch is worldwide, subject to applicable requirements and service availability. Registration asks no age or date-of-birth questions. The application does not verify age or provide a guardian or parental-consent process. You remain responsible for meeting the requirements applicable to your use of the service. Contact info@getsplitsville.com with an eligibility or information-handling concern.
Proposals and explicit responses
Creating or administering a record does not automatically grant creative credit or an ownership share. Contributors review the complete proposed allocation and explicitly confirm their own share or disagree. Opening an invitation does not record agreement. A record is Fully Confirmed only after every contributor confirms that revision.
A changed allocation creates a new proposal requiring everyone’s confirmation. Earlier proposals and responses remain in history. A contributor may confirm an unchanged proposal after an earlier disagreement, with the earlier response retained.
Rights and disagreements
Creating or confirming a Splitsville record does not independently establish, assign, or transfer copyright ownership or replace appropriate agreements, registrations, or professional advice. Recorded proposals, contributor actions and timestamps may help provide supporting evidence in a later ownership disagreement or legal dispute. Splitsville does not promise legal enforceability, admissibility, or a particular legal outcome. Splitsville provides no in-app dispute negotiation or adjudication. Collaborators address disagreements outside the application.
A confirmation is the response submitted for the proposal shown. Splitsville records the supplied name, decision, and time; it does not independently authenticate a guest’s legal identity, settle a copyright dispute, guarantee enforceability of an agreement, or guarantee that percentages are accurate.
Individual song split sheets
A split sheet PDF summarizes the recorded allocation and contributor statuses for one exact revision. It distinguishes a proposed allocation from a Fully Confirmed allocation, identifies available confirmation dates and times in UTC, and records when the document was generated. A later revision does not change earlier responses. The PDF is a documentation record, not a legal agreement or transfer of copyright ownership; it has no signature fields or electronic-signature workflow.
Your information and the permission needed to operate
You retain your rights in your compositions and submitted information. Submitting information does not transfer a songwriting or master-recording share to Splitsville or MANSA Project Solutions, LLC. You must have permission to enter contributor information and propose the allocation you submit.
To provide the features you use, you permit the operator and necessary service providers to store, process, transmit, and display the information within the service’s authorization and privacy settings. This operational permission covers invitations, authorized review, account catalogs, exports, security, and preservation of supported records. It is not permission to sell a composition, publicly release a private song record, or ignore a contributor’s sharing choices.
Appropriate use and privacy
Do not impersonate collaborators, submit misleading allocations, use invitations for spam or harassment, misuse private contact information, submit information you have no right to provide, interfere with the service, or attempt to access unrelated records. A private invitation link is intended for its recipient and should not be forwarded without authorization.
Use exports and shared information within your permissions and applicable law. Review the Privacy Policy for current handling and sharing choices. Directory visibility does not make a creator’s contact information or catalog public. Turning a sharing choice off cannot retrieve copies another person already retained.
Stopping use, account requests, and service restrictions
You may stop using Splitsville at any time. For account closure or information requests, contact info@getsplitsville.com. Account Security provides optional closure using a fresh email code and explicit confirmation. Closure immediately restricts account access and sharing, signs out all devices and removes saved passkeys. Optional current profile and contact details are removed within 30 days. Account identity and necessary shared history remain protected for individually reviewed requests and annual retention review. Routine database operations cannot erase preserved song revisions and contributor responses. Requests involving shared confirmations, personal information, historical records and backups require individual assessment under applicable law. Account closure does not automatically erase shared history or backups, and it does not remove the need for retention review. Contact us to discuss the appropriate action for your request.
Access may need to be restricted to address abuse, unauthorized access, security incidents, or legal requirements. For questions about a restriction or to request review, contact info@getsplitsville.com. Applicable requirements and the need to protect other people or service security affect the notice and action available.
Availability, fees, and limitations
Features and availability can change. This release adds no subscriptions, payment forms, charges, or permanent pricing commitments. Any future paid service requires a separate clear presentation of its applicable price and terms.
Splitsville is a recordkeeping and collaboration tool. You remain responsible for checking the information you submit and keeping appropriate independent copies. It cannot promise uninterrupted availability, error-free information, complete delivery of every email, or a particular legal or financial result. Nothing in these terms claims to remove rights or liabilities that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Publication and changes
These terms describe the conditions for using Splitsville from the effective date shown above. We will update the date when these terms change and communicate material changes as required by applicable law. Linking to these terms does not mean Splitsville records a separate electronic signature or acceptance of a specific legal version.
